Decorating a Dressing Room

A dressing room is often a girl's dream haven. It is where she can play dress up as a princess who is waiting for her knight in shining armour or as a catwalk model alluring the entire fashion industry with every stride.

It pays to have a well-decorated dressing room where every fashion accessory is in its right place, neatly and properly arranged. For this reason, a closet or wardrobe is a must. It should have ample space to house all the necessary garments and items, particularly folded and hung ones. For easy access of hung garments, a rolling clothing bar is a fantastic addition. The room should have a full-length mirror and a make-up mirror. If possible, cover an entire wall with mirror for a full view of yourself. As for putting make-up on, you can opt for a dressing cabinet complete with a half-body mirror and chair. Make sure that you have ample lighting inside the room for a clear picture of yourself as you look into the mirror. You would want to review every single detail of your outfit or make-up, and that can be done with good lighting. To lighten up the room during the day, make sure you have windows. For some privacy, cover them in draperies or blinds that you can close or open when needed. While a dressing room is a private space for you, you may need to invite a friend or stylist over to help you out with your make-up, hair or dress. Thus, it helps to accessorise the room with a love seat or comfy sofa. For a more relaxing atmosphere, you can have entertainment devices installed. A video and music player will complete your posh mood as you go about changing clothes and applying cosmetics.
